That is why Bemand exists: the place where knowledge businesses teach their own team to build, mentors pass on their craft and the next generation learns the new one. This is what we believe, in six sentences.

Every system you build here keeps that order. Anything that leaves the building gets a yes from a person first.
Twenty years of experience becomes worth more the moment you learn to direct agents in your own work. So we work with the professionals themselves, not around them.
Whoever has it done stays dependent. Whoever can do it carries on when we are gone. So we teach your team and we do not take it over. Our mentors work themselves out of a job.
The guild principle: next to every professional stands someone learning the craft. Juniors build along on real cases, paid and guided. They are the reason knowledge work will still be here in ten years.
About half of the teams really make the shift. We say that out loud. Why it works for one and not for another is something we research with universities of applied sciences. What we learn, we share.
A subsidy is a kick-start, not a drip. Members pay what it is worth and the studio has to learn to carry itself. Otherwise we ask of companies something we do not do ourselves.
We do not take over the work. We teach it to your team.
That question makes people scared or angry. They defend the old craft while the work around them disappears. Developers, designers and accountants all see it happening.
We believe there is work that only people can do: judging, deciding, having the conversation with the client and directing the agents. You learn that new craft by doing it, with someone alongside.
We make sure nobody loses their craft without learning a new one.
Bemand should not stop when one of us stops. That is why Bemand is becoming steward-owned. In the Netherlands that model is called rentmeesterschap.
Whoever works at Bemand sets the course. Nobody can buy the company to take money out of it.
What we earn goes back to the mission: training people. Think paid spots for juniors and mentors.

You do not build for the team. You look in when they get stuck, ask the question they had not asked themselves and make sure the team builds the right thing. Mentoring is paid work. If you would rather give your hours as a contribution to the region, that works too. You decide.

Bemand builds on the labs at Dutch Innovation Park. With universities of applied sciences we research why one transformation works and another does not. Want to contribute people, cases or research? Talk to us.
